A complete introduction to the rules, controls, and basic strategy for new players. The walkthrough covers how tiles slide, when they merge, and why a new 2 or 4 appears after every move. Watch this first if you have never played a sliding-tile puzzle before, then jump into a live game to practise the basics.

Eck-Strategie erklärt

Why anchoring your highest tile in a corner is the single most important habit in 2048. The video shows how committing to one corner keeps your largest values stable while smaller tiles flow around them. It is the foundation every higher-level technique on this page builds on, so master it before moving to the snake pattern.

Das Schlangenmuster

How to arrange tiles in a snake sequence to build large values without ever trapping yourself. The demonstration walks through filling each row in the opposite direction to the one above, so the board stays ordered even as it fills. This is the bridge technique that takes most players from a reliable 1024 up to the 2048 tile.

Monotone Reihen - Fortgeschrittenes Verschmelzen

Keep rows sorted so every swipe triggers a cascade of merges - the key to consistent high scores. The clip explains how a row that always decreases in value lets the next tile fold neatly into your chain instead of blocking it. Internalise this and your swipes start doing two or three merges at once rather than one.

Die 4096-Kachel erreichen

A full game run showing what consistent play looks like when pushing past the 2048 milestone. Notice how the player never breaks corner discipline even when the board gets tight, and how each high-value merge is set up several moves in advance. Watching a complete run end to end is the best way to see how the individual techniques combine under pressure.

Elite Play

Watch what top-level 2048 looks like: flawless monotonic play with no wasted moves across hundreds of swipes. Every swipe in this run advances the chain, and almost none are spent recovering from mistakes. Study the pacing and board control here once you are already comfortable reaching 2048 and want to chase scores in the elite range.
